The Guthrie Family always have a welcome awaiting guests to Newmill Farm whether you are staying in the Farm House, Self catered accommodation or the Wigwams. This 300 acre mixed arable farm is situated on the A9 six miles north of Perth. Every endeavour is made to ensure the guests are comfortable however long or short their stay. Situated in an area known as “The Gateway to the Highlands” the farm is ideally a place for those seeking some of the best unspoilt scenery in Europe.

We cater to unique groups and are happy to tailor our services to suit your specific requirements.

Farm House

Beautiful, freshly-renovated 4 bedroom farmhouse with stunning views, versatile spaces, and a personal family-run touch. An ideal escape for families / friends or groups, wanting to unwind in the countryside! A perfect mix of restful retreat and event-ready venue.

1 Large family room with private bathroom (2 single beds and 1 double).

Cottage

A charming, detached cottage located on the farm premises which was formally the toll booth for the once passing horse and cart trade.

This now modern 3-bedroom cottage comprises of 1 double en-suite and 2 twin bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 6 people. There is a large spacious bathroom containing both a shower and a bath. A comfortable lounge with open coal fire and central heating throughout. There is a fully fitted kitchen and a utility room containing a washing machine and tumble dryer. Small private garden available with seating. Large private parking included.

Bungalow

Escape to our serene 3‑bed bungalow, less than a mile from the main farmhouse. Boasting a large double en‑suite and two twin bedrooms with ample storage, it’s perfect for families or larger groups. Relax in the spacious living & dining areas or enjoy the fully fitted kitchen. Outside you’ll find a generous garden and a charming summer house—ideal for morning coffees or evening chats under the stars.

Group Activities, Meetings & Retreats

Our function room is ideal for group activities such as yoga sessions, arts and crafts, and meetings. A Versatile Space for creativity, connection, and calm. Guests are also welcome to make use of our beautiful gardens and grounds—perfect for outdoor group activities, relaxation, or creative inspiration.

Wigwams

Our 7 wigwams are located within the orchard of the farm and are ideal for a getaway with the family. Each cabin has its own picnic bench and firepit so you can enjoy a toasted marshmallow with the kids or wait until they are tucked up in bed to crack open a bottle of wine or fizz!

We pride ourselves on being a family orientated site, so our main priority is that the children are having fun. With swing sets and various other places for the kids to have an adventure, they get the sense of being in the great outdoors but also have the luxury of sleeping in a cosy, fully insulated heated cabin.

Shared facilities on site include shower/toilet block and a communal kitchen/utility area.

Ideal for group bookings so you, the family and friends can all get together and enjoy each other’s company but also suitable for individual getaways.
